Lake, Streams and Waterfalls

Glen Aren is perfectly situated between Pearson, Rice and Pinnacle Mountains. The topography is full of water features, including lakes, streams and waterfalls. Hidden swimming holes in the cool mountain streams are a favorite part of most hikes. The Glen Arden lake is home to paddling, blobbing, and ropeswinging. One of campers’ favorite areas in camp, the island, is found in the middle of the lake. Here on the island, we gather for campfires, s’mores, songs, and Candlelighting. The lake is uniquely situated between a waterfall that plunges into its headwaters and our gymnasium, which is situated over the lake’s dam. Our 160 foot waterfall, located in the heart of camp, can be heard throughout the property.
