After 11 summers at Glen Arden as a camper, counselor, and, most recently, head counselor,this week Sophie Parker officially began her new role as Program Director. In this role, Sophie will work year round to connect with the Glen Arden community, manage Glen Arden’s social media, travel to meet new and returning families, and assist with staff hiring.

Recently, Sophie graduated from the University of Tennessee, where she studied Public Relations and Graphic Design. Her background in communications and design makes her especially excited to share the traditions and experiences that make Glen Arden a home away from home for campers.

Outside of camp, Sophie enjoys running, needlepointing, reading, and spending quality time with her friends and family. We’re so happy that she’s bringing her enthusiasm, love of camp, and CGA spirit to our year-round staff. Welcome Sophie!
